Our University is a large institution, consisting of faculties, departments, laboratories, sections. There are over 19 thousand students and 2 thousand employees. Such a structure requires precise management.

The Academic Council is an elected representative body that is in charge of the general management of the University. The decisions made by the Academic Council are aimed at improving the University’s operation and are binding. The Chairman of the Academic Council is the Rector of the University.

The Rectorate is the center of the University management.

The Rector is in charge of the direct management of the University and is personally responsible for the results of educational, scientific, financial and economic activities. The position of the rector is elective. The Rector is elected by the staff of the University and performs the duties in accordance with the Charter of the University.

Particular types and areas of the University’s activities are managed by vice-rectors (deputy rectors), subordinate to the Rector, hired under a fixed-term employment contract for the period of the Rector’s powers.
