The Department «Information and Computing Systems» was founded in 1961 by Professor AA Euler and is known for its works in many modern IT areas.
Departments cooperate with well-known suppliers of computer and network equipment, has some of the best laboratories in St. Petersburg.
Students of the department study licensed software such as Microsoft Visual Studio, programming in C++, Java, C #, working with Oracle DBMS and programming tools for Internet applications based on PL/SQL, Javascript, PHP, Python and others. Student study artificial intelligence systems, modeling of computing systems, modern information systems, multimedia technologies, latest generation microprocessor systems.
Here students study for a Bachelor’s degree in 09.03.01 Informatics and Computer Technology, specialization Software for Computer Technology and Automated Systems; and for a Master’s degree in 09.04.02 Information Systems and Technologies, specialization Information Systems and Technologies in Transport.
